The Locamed Trocar Port Closure device device is used in laparoscopic surgeries to aid the approximation of tissue and performs percutaneous suturing to close incision sites.

This device features a mechanism with a spring-loaded blunt stylet that retreats when the needle is inserted through the abdominal wall. Once the peritoneum has been penetrated, it automatically advances. The stylet is equipped with a notched end, to capture and secure the suture.
